Taser

In a combination of classroom, and practical exercises, students receive instruction on the proper firing, manipulation/nomenclature of the Thomas A. Smith Electric Rifle (TASER). Additionally, students will receive training on de-escalation methods and verbalization prior to, during, and after the use of this type of force

Training Requirements:

• Sworn Personnel - 3 hours annually/1.5 hours bi-annually
• Cadets - 8 hours
• Recruits - 8 hours
