Counties Served: DeWitt, Ford, Iroquois, Kankakee, Livingston, and McLean

Troop 5 encompasses DeWitt, Ford, Iroquois, Kankakee, Livingston, and McLean counties. Headquarters are located in Ashkum and Pontiac. Troopers in Troop 5 patrol interstates I-55, I-57, I-74, and I-39, as well as all State and U.S. highways within the six counties. In addition to normal patrol functions, ISP Troopers work throughout the Troop addressing gun and drug trafficking within local communities and on the interstates. ISP responsibilities include traffic enforcement, criminal patrol, commercial motor vehicle enforcement, and assisting the public on Illinois roadways.
