Trooper Anderton competed in and won the gold medal in the 170 – 179.9 Submission Grappling weight class. Submission Grappling is similar to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Zywicki. August 23rd marks the 25th anniversary of Tammy’s death, and her case remains active as the FBI and ISP continue exploring new leads, examining 200 items of evidence, and retesting items with modern DNA technology.

Talbot by dedicating the Centennial Bridge in Rock Island, Illinois, the Master Sergeant Stanley Talbot Memorial Bridge.

Springfield – On July 6, 2017, Illinois State Police (ISP) officials said farewell to their fallen brother, Trooper Ryan Albin, star number 5718. Hundreds of law enforcement officers from across the country made the trip to central Illinois to pay their respects to this fallen hero as well. Trooper Albin was laid to rest with full honors at Bellflower Cemetery.

Springfield – Illinois State Police (ISP) officials continue to grieve the loss of their fallen brother, Trooper Ryan Albin, who was killed in the line of duty on June 28, 2017. Trooper Albin was traveling on I-74 westbound near Farmer City when his vehicle collided with a box truck as both vehicles entered a construction zone. Trooper Albin joined the ISP in 2006 and was currently assigned to District 6 in Pontiac as a canine officer.

Illinois State Police Engage and Encourage Students During Black History Month

Normal, IL – Officials with the Illinois State Police (ISP) announced today that ISP officers will be present at the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) girls’ state basketball tournaments during the IHSA March Madness. The ISP will staff an information booth at the arena during the games and plans to interact with thousands of students, parents, and fans from across the state.

House Republican Leader Jim Durkin today presented House Resolution 58 to a group of state police officers recognizing the 95th anniversary of the Illinois State Police Department.

CHICAGO – Illinois State Police (ISP) Zone 1 Investigations today arrested Eric M. Pence, 24, of Chicago, for sending a threat letter to the Governor. The preliminary investigation also revealed Pence sent threatening emails to the DuPage County Sheriff.
