HONORING FALLEN OFFICERS AT THE KENDALL COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT CEREMONY

The Following Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 5

Joliet, IL - Illinois State Police (ISP), District 5 attended a “Celebration of Life” at the Kendall County Law Enforcement Memorial on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.  This memorial ceremony was to honor fallen law enforcement officers from Kendall County as well as throughout the United States.  This year, the Kendall County Association of Chiefs of Police added Illinois State Police, Zone 5 (Lockport) Special Agent Robert Kolowski to the memorial.  Special Agent Kolowski started his career as an Illinois State Trooper on July 9, 1973, and served in Kendall County for approximately 20 years.  Special Agent Kolowski died in service on February 25, 1993, from a cardiac emergency.

The Illinois State Police would like to thank the Kendall County Association of Chiefs of Police, Oswego Police Department Chief Jeff Burgner, and Kendall County Sheriff Dwight A. Baird, for helping with setting up this special day to honor our fallen ISP brother, Special Agent Robert Kolowski.
