Local Training - Breath Analysis Operator (BAO) Training

• Certified: Yes, this course is Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) certified for reimbursement

This course is designed to prepare the Breath Analysis Operator for operation of the breath test instrument. The course will address the topics of: The Law Surrounding DUI Arrests, Physiology and Pharmacology of Alcohol in the Human Body, Theories of Breath Testing, Operation of Breath Test Instruments and Courtroom Preparation and Presentation.

Students much achieve 70 percent on a written examination in order to be licensed as a Breath Analysis Operator. There will also be a practical examination in which the student must demonstrate proficiency on the Breath Alcohol Instruments.
