Division of Internal Investigation - Internal Investigation Awareness for External Agencies DII offers a presentation that will explain the function of the Illinois State Police, Division of Internal Investigation (DII), and how we can serve your agency. Specifically, you will understand why DII exists, the types of investigations we conduct, the agencies we have a responsibility to investigate, and the important role you play in the timely notification to DII of an issue in your agency.
