Case Details:

• On May 06, 2005, Henderson Police Department (Nevada) took a report of a missing person, Lindsay Marie Harris


• On May 23, 2005, Illinois State Police Zone 4 – Springfield was contacted regarding human remains, consisting of two severed legs, which were located just off of Interstate 55 near Divernon, Illinois.


• On April 16, 2008, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) completed a crime analysis report regarding the Illinois State Police’s investigation into the human remains. The ViCAP report identified several possible related cases nationwide


• specifically the missing person case of Lindsay Harris in Henderson, Nevada.


• On May 06, 2008, the Jan Bashinski DNA Lab in Richmond, California confirmed the DNA submitted from the two severed legs located in Illinois were those of Lindsay Harris.


• Harris was identified as a known prostitute in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Harris had family ties to upstate New York (Syracuse). Harris’ case has aired multiple times on the previously aired television show, America’s Most Wanted. Zone 4 Agents have traveled to Las Vegas Nevada, as well as, New York to conduct follow-up on leads in this case. Many of Harris’ associates were interviewed at the time she was reported missing (2005) and after ISP investigators identified the remains (2008)
