The Violent Crime Intelligence Task Force (20 ILCS 2605/2605-605 (ilga.gov)) is a statewide multijurisdictional task force consisting of local law enforcement agencies receiving grant funding from the Illinois State Police beginning September 2022 to:

• Conduct enforcement operations against persons whose Firearm Owner's Identification Cards have been revoked or suspended and yet have failed to comply with the requirements of Section 9.5 of the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act; and
• Enforce provisions of the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act, the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, the Firearm Dealer License Certification Act , and Article 24 of the Criminal Code of 2012.
